LogMeIn Hamachi

Remember my post about LogMeIn? Well, the company has recently released a new product “LogMeIn Hamachi”.

LogMeIn Hamachi is a VPN service that easily sets up in 10 minutes, and enables secure remote access to your business network, anywhere there’s an Internet connection.

It works with your existing firewall, and requires no additional configuration. Hamachi is the first networking application to deliver an unprecedented level of direct peer-to-peer connectivity. It is simple, secure, and cost-effective.

I did try the software on two of my computers and it worked perfectly, I did the setup in no time and immediately started remote accessing my desktop! It’s great, I was already capable of remote controlling my computer at home, but now I can transfer files even!

Saving keystrokes!

I was thinking today of starting to post computer tips and tricks, some of you might already be familiar with them, but I’m sure lot of people will benefit from what I will be writing about!

Here we go with the first post of the series! It’s about saving keystrokes when typing website addresses in your browser. Isn’t irritating to always type the http://www.google.com every time you want to go to google?! Next time, just type google in the address bar and hit ctrl+Enter, the www. and the .com part will be filled automatically!

To auto complete a .net address hit shift + Enter, and for .org hit ctrl + shift + Enter.

Hassan Nasrallah at Virgin Megastore

I was at Virgin Megastore today when I saw the book below

Rouge Liban

Rouge Liban
Objectif: Hassan NASRALLAH, le chef du Hezbollah!

I don’t know what the book is about, but it is weird to see the name of Hassan Nasrallah on a book with such cover. I still remember what happened when riots started at night in Beirut nearly 2 years ago because an actor sarcastically impersonated Hassan Nasrallah on LBC TV

In case you’re interested, the book is available on Amazon.fr.

Lebanese Army Ceremony

This picture is from Al-Balad Newspaper, it was taken during a ceremony to the memory of the Lebanese army martyrs in Jounieh yesterday.

The woman is the mother of one of the martyrs, and she’s holding his son wearing a Lebanese army costume.

Thief posts his own picture to wrong flickr account

This is helarious!! An idiot thief stole an iMac computer and decided to take pictures of himself and his ugly tattoos, but then uploaded them to the laptop owner’s Flickr account *LOL*

Check the picture on flickr and have some laugh reading the comments!

That’s the dumbest thief I have ever heard about.
